The Sign Poem by Shel Don

The Sign

There is something about you that catches my eye day in and day out,
There is something about you there ain't no doubt.
Effortlessly you move, Every step you take seems like you groove.
Your eyes deep as ever,
Could cause me to sink in them and never recover.
Your smile kills every pain,
Its like a midsummer rain.
Your hair falls gently on your face,
As you adjust it my heart beats race.
Your beauty intoxicates all of my senses,
All of my wounds it cleanses.
In all of creation,
All things great and small,
You surpass them all.
More precious than any diamond or pearl you are to me,
Since I saw you their value ceased to exist for eternity.
All of this to me is more than just pure bliss.
Everyday I look forward to talk with you,
Smile and spend a moment or two.
When your not around,
My missing you knows no bound.
I ain't as close to you as I want to be,
Can't cross the line although its killing me.
I wait day after day for you to give me a sign,
For you to say you'll be mine.
Till then this distance I shall maintain, Anxiously waiting for your sign I will remain.
The day I get it I'll surely go insane, Cause then the worlds happiness I will gain.
