The Silence Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

The Silence

The Silence

Quite dumb, in my depth
Was looking for silence.

Wore my boots and headed,
Torch in hand, for desert…

Heard nothing, no one there,
Just shadows of fear,
Throbbed heart; got scared!

My shadow was evil,
By its length, and its width.

Beauty of heavens,
The stars, satellites,
Unreal, fantasised.

In my head, many thoughts,
Do they dance to have fun?

A breeze moved flame,
The smoke was added,
Closed eyes; felt blind!

Frosty line of thoughts:
"They are like humans,
Are involved in a war! "

Remembered injustice,
And the races, genders,
On spine ran sweat…

Could not find the silence!

Boots on feet, with torches
In darkness of the cave,
Was searching for silence!

Shoes stepped on old bones,
Could not find what needed,
Absent were peace, silence.
