'The Silencer' Poem by Pushpinder Kaur

'The Silencer'

The Silencer

A silent and sudden passage
Of people known and unknown
Feels like we are all travelling-
Passengers in a train
A sea of people
All known and unknown…one gets dropped off
Then two…and three
At the station…when they reach their destination
Those who were here among us
one of us, just gone
Gone into where?
Nothingness
or ever?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The idea of demise is fearful, mysterious yet so real...one of the few realities...one of the few constants!

I like your poem a lot. On how it describes the train station and how you add mysteriousness and fright. please make more.

The picture of the Seagulls evoke in the mind, the idea of 'gone' as these migratory birds visit the hot regions around October and staying until March, are 'gone' for the rest of the year. Their going and absence is visibly experienced...but they return every year!
