The Silent Heavens Poem by ashok jadhav

The Silent Heavens

I lift my gaze to skies that offer none,
No voice replies, no light descends to guide.
The stars endure in patient, distant fire,
And time drifts on indifferent to my plea.
I cry for meaning in a world unkind,
Yet find no echo answering my despair.
The rituals I learned, the prayers rehearsed,
Fall hollow, fading in the empty night.
Each question hangs suspended in the void,
A weight unmeasured, pressing on the soul.
I strain to see a hand that does not come,
A presence absent, though I reach for it.
And in this stillness, I confront myself:
To live with wonder, sorrow, and resolve,
To bear the silence with whatever strength
The human heart can muster in its dark,
And find a path through shadow, unassured,
Where meaning grows from thought, and not from God.
