The Situation Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

The Situation

I'm waiting to exhale
Anger, wrath and rage
After endless wait-
At this moment, of old age
A life time wasn't sufficient?
To go in for a resolution-
Clamouring, for dialogues
Some others, seeking an end-
A forcible end, through violence
Negotiating for peace
Peace on a part of earth
To give on-
An uncomfortable pause
Like a satire on art
A laboured showpiece
On equality-
Honesty and fellowship.

Notes that bridge the gap
A public art, in private hands
When life is on the move
For nuclear weapons-
Weapons, rolling into a treat
Imprisoned in heaven, I feel like
Finding life, while tracking death.

A valuable compendium:
From desire to dejection
Blatantly denying gut-feelings
On all fronts, for cheap interests
Instead of tackling the situation.
