The Sky Is Dark Poem by Danny Owusu

The Sky Is Dark

The sky is dark, and all the races of life are gone back
Some are black whilst are others are cracked
The little things of this race that matters are scattered,
Yes we get shattered and we feel it’s about time we sow hatred. No! ! !
Look you smile each day not because you are cute, beautiful or handsome
But it’s because nature have smiled on you by giving you what you can see and feel.
I ponder on the exigencies of this life and I realize that, we ought to appreciate how far we have come and where we can be tomorrow.
Desires and dreams can be shut in a split of a second. Likewise dreams and aspirations can become realty when we least expected.
We fall and rise each day but the sweet experience about falling and rising is you always learn not to fall again.
No matter how negative our feelings are, at a point we feel positive about something. Don’t get stuck in the dark because life in the light is always bright. Don’t forget each day has two sides, the bright hours and the dark moments.
Never be sad because you are in your dark moments, soon the bright hours will smile on you too
The same clouds that gave rain yesterday, will feel your day with sunlight. The best is yet to come.
At times it seems we get close yet we lose, it’s like we have entered and endless hole. The soul never dies even if the body dries. Our cries after several tries shows the ties we have with our desires. Circumstances can create instances which may bring us the chances we have been looking out for.
The best times of our lives shows up when deep within you feel a sense of fulfillment even with no help.
Help is good, but at times a battle solely won with just the help of God is gratifying to the soul. The soul? The soul strives to make strides just to cloth the body with pride. The joy of doing what we are called to do can never be compared to a misconstrued success filled with pain and anguish.
We walk; we talk, like a chalk we write history because our lives tell a story which the generation of tomorrow can narrow but can’t swallow or leave fallow.
I bow to the Almighty whose strength and guide has written this through an instrument like me. God Bless us All…………….
