The Sliver-Tongued Devil Poem by Kiy Anu

The Sliver-Tongued Devil

Rating: 5.0

I said I'd live forever
Thought this to be cunning, apt, and clever
And on lonely hills I met a man
From there my endless life began
He drew me in with words of hope
The silver-tongued Devil and I his dope
What I didn't know then
I would learn again and again
As all that I loved left to ascend
Forever and ever my eternity would never end
Then at last when the world was gone
The man came back to check on his pawn
I begged the man to let me die
And when he laughed I began to cry
Again he whispered in my ears
Sweet sweet words that stilled my tears
Again and again I fell for his trick
An endless cycle oh so sick
And as everytime was same as before
I have remained a young man forevermore
