I don't know who is standing in the street
They wear a hood to mask their shadowed face
The stranger waves as if they want to greet
But then they start to walk at a brisk pace
The stranger stops at my door window pane
I watch as slowly they lift up their hood
A sight that will forever be my bane
In fear I froze exactly where I stood
A smile with no thought or emotion
A smile that struck fear into my heart
A smile hiding a secret notion
A smile promising a quick depart
The door seemed to have vanished far away
And now empty space stood between us three
Yes a trio was there that horrid day
The stranger demented smile and me
