The Snake Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

The Snake

Two-faced and sly, they slither in the night,
Spewing sweet nothings with a forked tongue delight.
Their promises flow like honey from a jar,
But beware, dear friend, they're not who they are.

Narcissistic and vain, they crave the spotlight,
Feeding on adoration with all their might.
They'll use and abuse you without a second thought,
Leaving you broken, shattered, and distraught.

Gaslighting their weapon, they twist and turn,
Making you doubt yourself at every turn.
They'll spin a web of lies and deceit,
And before you know it, you're in too deep.

But fear not, dear friend, for light will shine,
And expose their treachery and their crime.
So don't be fooled by their charming guise,
For behind their mask, a monster lies.
