The Song Poem by Macwolls Kay

The Song

The Song

He sang a song that told a tale,
Of men of courage standing guard,
With Spears and shields keeping trouble out.

He sang a song that told a tale,
Of Kings and chiefs,
And a people proud.

He sang a song that told a tale,
Of fertile lands, and abundant harvests,
Where little children have no want.

He sang a song that told a tale,
Of thick green jungles and endless trees,
With Lions and leopards roaming free.

He sang a song that told a tale,
Of a land of beauty, cradle of mankind.
