The Soul Provider Poem by Jason Summers

The Soul Provider

I have problems I must admit,
But, when I try talking to you your emotions quit.
At times, I know I can go to you when I am hurting,
And other times, I sense that it's a burden.
I wonder if you take in what I am saying,
Or whether you go on hoping and praying.
I've always looked up to you as a strong soul provider,
Although, I cannot continue to question, are you a truth teller or a liar?
I have seen similar problems of my own family in you,
But, you are old enough to fix it, or choose to do.
I wish to help, please, give me a chance to understand.
I will be waiting, silently, with open hands.
