The Sound Of Indifference Poem by Kevin Patrick

The Sound Of Indifference

Rating: 5.0

It is loud and so crystal clear
cant you hear it?
Please tell me you can hear it

That little boy in the rubble in Gaza
buried by an Israeli bomb
the mother running down the street
carrying her bloodied baby

Or the hospitals now abattoirs
where doctors are called terrorist
that reporter whose on the hill
dying to tell the world the truth

Can you hear the night on fire
from the stars slingshot from hell
or the bullets that hit homes
of the families having dinner

It's ok if you cant hear it
Neither do entitled bullies
who call themselves the free world

A powerful and incisive poem with a great title. So deeply poignant and touching. I hope those leaders involve in the war could read the message in this meaningful poem.

Thank you Rose! , sadly these world leaders are nothing more then sociopaths, they only care about what benefits them! I wish it was not the case
