The Sound Of Your Voice 4/21/08

Want to know why day by day, none still which I regret, I dream of you?
Want to know why I stay up, until the end of time, speaking to you?
And never let you go to sleep? Can never get that rest you need?
And will you try to sneak a peep? An endeavor which cannot be reached.
But the reason is, by no means will I ever tire of hearing your voice.
It can’t be done, by no means, will I never retire this feeling by choice.
When you hold me, it feels as every horrid aspect in my life abandons me,
When you talk to me, it forces me to feel as if you’re near me.
Even if I can’t hold you, or embrace you, or kiss you. You’re near me.
The sound of your voice, is my favorite sound in the entire world.
The sound of your voice, It sends chills down my spine.
& Once in awhile, I’ll close my eyes. Just to hold that image of you in my head.
& Every time, I’ll close my eyes. You will always be the first I see.
And without you, my heart would be broken beyond repair.
And its last word, would be a spoken respond unfair.
So tell me you will never disregard me. Tell me. I seek it for me.
So I can hear the sound of your voice. Yell it to me. Speak it to me.
Because it’s the sound of your voice. It sends chills down my spine.
