The Spire Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Spire

The spire
Over the other buildings
As to a dragon
Breathed fire.

Chill did not worry it
Much less
This restless Vulcan defeat.

I needed a shot in the arm of
Oxygen
And in the ecstasy of verse instead
Of oxygen found flow continual.
