The Spirit Unbound Poem by Ankur Beohar

The Spirit Unbound

I too am a bound spirit
Nurtured by creativity
encouraged by the hope of freedom
adorning worldly masks effortlessly.

I too am a bound spirit
Enshrined in this world as deity
protected, by the legitimacy of my life
enslaved by the yearning of affinity

I too am a bound spirit
walking with the truth of mortality
Reveling in the virtues of my deeds
broken by the human apathy.

I too am a bound spirit
Aspiring for inedible efficacy
bound by the possession of this world
contriving to live my perceived destiny.
