The Stars In Isght. Poem by Arielle Perkins

The Stars In Isght.

Here I sit
trowing a fit.
You may ask, why?
Its because I wont hurry up and die.
I need to be set free
not live for eternity,
in pain and sorrow
waiting for a brighter tomorrow.
Knowing I will never be as bright
as all the stars in sight,
feeling rejection
along with no natural affection,
makes me feel sad
but then again Im really mad.
Mad at life
along with strife,
mad at them
because some one else is their precious gem.
Mad at me
for not being able to see
all the trouble I've caused
my life is now paused.
At least for another 2 years
I will deal with troubles, pains and fears.
Another 2 years till Im on my own
because then I will be full grown.
The little lady
whos whole life is like living in hades.
because of the pain
she will gain.
From being over protected
were none of her rights were respected.

Hey Arielle. I liked your poem and could relate to it, especially when I was your age. You don't have to take my advice but if you are really looking for a title for this excellent poem, I usually bring out a line from the poem the metaphorically describes the piece. I would suggest: 'The Stars In Sight'. What do you think? I hope I helped. Regardless I enjoyed your poem. Jessica Evans
