The Steriotype Poem by Dyllan Martin

The Steriotype

A thousand puzzled faces,
Stare blankly at you,
Like a paiting in an art gallery,

When you try to hide,
From their stinging comments,
You can't,

Your'e the one they want,
The centre of attention,
Like a statue made of cold stone,

Like their hearts.

Running won't save you,
And they know this place like the back of their hand,
Where can you go,

You stick out like a sore thumb,
A fluressent fish in this sea of gray,
Trying to hide your colours,

They want to show you,
Show you that they're right,
But they're wrong,

Your'e not like them,
Because your'e you,
Steriotyped.
