In the heart of a city, where chaos reigns,
She found a café, hidden from lanes.
The rain kissed windows, the air was still,
As if time paused to grant her will.
A man sat there, with eyes so deep,
Where secrets danced and silence seeped.
He looked at her, through the storm of her mind,
"Come, sit, " he said, "leave fear behind."
She laughed, uneasy, "Who are you? "
"A stranger's words—what can they do? "
But his gaze held more than she could see,
"Look into my eyes, and you'll know me."
Hesitant still, she leaned in slow,
And what she saw made her heart glow.
Not him, not his, but herself she found,
Unbound by fear, vast and profound.
Not the one who doubted, nor played a part,
But the infinite being within her heart.
The rain outside faded into a song,
And the chaos of life felt suddenly wrong.
She pulled away, her breath unsteady,
"What was that? " she asked, not ready.
He smiled, his calm like a gentle sea,
"That is who I am, and who you'll be."
"But I asked about you, " she began to say,
He chuckled, standing, "We're the same, in a way.
When you seek me, you find your soul,
In love's vast ocean, we're parts of the whole."
And with those words, he walked away,
Leaving her thoughts to quietly stay.
The rain still fell, but she felt no strife,
For she'd glimpsed the truth at the heart of life.
Who am I? she thought with a smile,
The answer will wait, at least for a while.
For in the stillness, she came to see,
The love she sought was already free.
