The Storm Poem by shannia ryan

The Storm

Rating: 3.5

The clouds are grey
and rough is the sea
what could this sign,
possibly be?

will there be a tsunami,
will it destroy our homes?
Oh no! I think it's a storm
this is even worse!

'Run for your lives,
think about migrating,
'cause soon there'll be a storm
to mess up our great living! '

Go down on your knees
and pray to our father
ask him to keep us safe
and then thank him after

After the storm came and went,
our houses were destroyed
and we were drenched

But thank the lord
we were perfectly well
it wasn't that bad,
after all, I could tell.

Lovely write. Stoms can create great anxiety and fear.
