The Storm Rages On Poem by Isaac Helms

The Storm Rages On

The storm rages on
Yet you are gone
Find the horror in dreams
Heat drying sun beams
Yet you are still alive
To me you are dead
No one for you to deprive
Listen to the voices in my head

I am never coming back again
Never wanted to see you even in the end
How much I hate you now
I give up on that sow
Told me what I wanted
Dreams of you are ever haunted
I don’t love you anymore
I am not prepared for what is in store

Does my life make any sense?
A kingdom without a prince
Just another hopeless thought
Too many battles have been fought
Should I sell my soul?
I am too much of a fool
I gave up my most beloved possession
In return I must deal with my depression

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Charles Chaim Wax 24 April 2006

the great agony finally descends when love can't find a place in the heart and then the heart twists bends contorts no blance only a strange tumbling until the ground rises up and heals somewhat a fine poem
