The Story Of A 'strong' Girl Poem by Jasmine Thompson

The Story Of A 'strong' Girl

I hate how with one look
you can melt down my shield
Or with one touch
I'm left wanting more

I hate how when you smile
I feel me smiling back
Or when you laugh
I wonder why you had

I hate other girls look at you
when I just want you to see me
Or when you go out with friends
I wish you were with me

I hate how you can't understand
You're everything I want and need
But what I hate the most.
Is how you don't love me
