The Sun Rises In A Purple Way Poem by R.K. Cowles

The Sun Rises In A Purple Way

The heavens in the twilight
Appears as if an artist has created
A masterpiece with aniline dyes
Rising above the horizon
Livid colors danced
Against the sky

The royal sky sparkles its reflection
Of lilac and lavender
Across the top of the cove
The clouds so elegant
Dancing smoothly upon
The sky of mauve

Along the seaside's east coast
Where violet rays of light
Breaks through the seascape
The heavens were plum-colored
As it mirrored along
The surface of the lake
