As lava red sunsets scorch the horizon
So too this feeling scorches my soul.
The laser beams that rip through the sky
To create an unfathomable, unforgettable picturesque view,
Reminds me of the feelings that rip through my heart
When I read a simple text message from you.
As lava red sunsets scorch the horizon
So too this feeling scorches my soul.
A complete stranger you are
Yet I feel for ages you I have known.
I get involuntary thoughts of you all day
I wonder:
'How did you sleep last night? '
'Did you eat well? '
'How was today? '
As lava red sunsets scorch the horizon
So too this feeling scorches my soul.
I walk through the house getting frequent muscle spasms
As I smile intermittently for, absolutely no reason.
I read your text messages over and over.
To feel like I connect with you
Every time I get a text message I will hug my phone dear.
It baffles my mind,
If only your words can be replaced by your human form
I will hold you tightly in my arm and make you my own.
As lava red sunsets scorch the horizon
So too this feeling scorches my soul.
I wonder:
'Is this simply a dream? '
'Does this mean hope? '
'Were you meant for me? '
I guess only with time I will know.
