I Am Cupid
There is a break up.
I am in the middle of it.
The two just can't come together.
I am not sure there can be a mending of it.
They are facing each other but forces pulling against the other
But on the rope I am the tape in the center.
Often they come together trying to make amends
But no words to utter so unsuccessful they descend.
The weight is on my shoulder,
Words I need to find for my friends Pen and Paper
For in this break up, I am the mediator.
Its up to me to make this love affair work
If only I can give Pen the words,
To write the feelings on the heart of Paper,
Then maybe, just maybe her heart may flutter.
