The Tall One Poem by Kelsea Osterman

The Tall One

Rating: 4.2

There is a boy who came along with us.
He is a tall one.
And lanky, but can work the whole day.
He is a sweet boy.
Does everything he is told.
Does well in school.
And is liked by everyone.
If you just look at this boy all you think is nothing but another farm boy.
But if you look a little closer you find something different.
You find a sweet boy.
Someone who is always there.
And is will to help, even those new people
He doesn't even know.
He's 100% country boy.
From the very tips of his cowboy boots,
To the very tip of his cowboy hat.
He graduates this year.
Ending his high school career.
But he plans to stay close,
Living and working on the farm he wants most.
His friends and family matter the most to him,
In every single way.
He loves to drink coke,
And make those silly stupid little jokes.
He is brave in every way.
And will stand by his friends no matter what.
He is a kind hearted guy.
He always knows just what to say.
He isn't the smartest of all the guys in the school
But it is enough to get him by.
His friends look up to him for help.
And he drives them all crazy.
He loves his big old white truck.
And gets it dirty every chance he gets.
This boy is not an average young man.
He is a friend.
And has been since the first day.
He's a sharp shooter, and a good hunter.
He's a kind hearted person
And someone you want to always have around.
There is never a dull moment with this boy.
If he doesn't have you laughing within five minutes of being around him
Then there is something wrong with you.
He's a funny guy, who is on this quest to find his second passion.
He is in search of a chocolaty delight.
Something with a hint of peanut butter.
He sets out on this quest with us to find this Reese's.
A good sweet treat, one that just shows
You can't always judge a candy by its wrapper.
