The Taped Pieces Of A Shattered World Poem by Moth Harris

The Taped Pieces Of A Shattered World

Rating: 2.0

She was a young girl
Couldn't have been older than seventeen
The world shook around her
and the comets hit inbetween
Where her new house and old house used to be.

The world may be coming down beneath her
But I'll be there to hold her up
There are some things that may not be sure
but I'm sure I know enough
To keep her heart close to mine

I was a young boy
That is before I met this girl
The waves were as tall as the stars are high
It's no surprise she means the world
To a guy like me

So I'd take her tears
compared to the year of loneliness I've spent
I'd take all of the pain and descent
Just to have her fake a smile for me
It calms the lonely waves in my sea

So there was a young girl
and I was a young boy
There's nothing left in this world
Only to enjoy
These calm waters and catch the tears inbetween.
