The Tempter Poem by Jude Ryans

The Tempter

Every Night When I am Going To Bed,
I Look Out The Square In My Wall,
I Look With One Eye,
But I Can SeeIt All,
I See The Grass Of My Lawn,
The Sidewalk Shadow,
And The Blue Man Outside My Window

These Illusions Are Blowing My Mind,
My Ear Screams When I Hear His Cry,
He Taps My Window Only In The Night
And I Hear Him,
The Man Widow,
The Blue Man Outside My Window

He Talks To Me, I Say Go Away
He Leaves But Comes Back The Next Day
What Does It Take For You To Leave
If You Want I Got Money To Pay
He Says I Don't Want Your Money I Want To Stay
And I Say Oh Would You Just Leave Me Alone
You Blue Man Outside My Window

He Comes To Bother Me Once Again
With A Basketball In His Hands He Says
Come On I Have Another Life To End
Come On Your My Only Friend
Come On What Are You Afraid To Be Known
No I'm In My Home
And Your Just A Blue Man Outside My Window
