A sudden thought ignites within my chest,
A fire that urges action, swift and wild.
It calls for risk, for breaking every rule,
For leaping where the ground is not yet known.
I feel its heat, and almost follow blindly,
Yet another voice restrains with steady hand.
It counts the cost, recalls the pain of past,
It measures steps that might undo the self.
The mind becomes a battlefield of wills,
Each movement questioned, every choice delayed.
I teeter at the edge of what I crave,
And yet I pause, and yet I hesitate.
Perhaps the balance is the human task:
To honor both the spark and the control,
To live within the space where fire and rule
Engage in constant, restless reconciliation.
