Double Rings Unchained
The Terracotta Warriors
By William He
Ourea watches where the warriors reside,
Seraph spreads the wings and lifts the brows,
Shielding a grace forgotten in the world.
Finding the proper angle,
The combatants in gallant array,
Through their eyes to unawakened earth,
A glittering sword out of the east.
Emitting vapors the pool clear as crystal,
Glimmering Venus sweeps by,
Colored streamers perturb the mind.
What reasons bring the army to the light,
The chariots and horses in full flight,
Slash of swords and thrust of spears.
Clay has been moulded to personalize itself well.
The heavy weight of hours has chained,
The things are not what they seem.
It would be nameless feeling,
Woe and wrath between the spirits,
Listening to the raven cough in the sticks,
Moaning the expense of vanished sight.
Down to river of the dazzling gleam,
Palaces and towers quivering,
There is the Pyrrhic dance as yet.
A split-second image,
A hollow wind does seem to tell,
Where the sweet peace will dwell.
