Beneath the crust of frozen ground,
A silent helper can be found.
The sleeping roots begin to heal,
And nature's kindness they reveal.
A pulsing wave of golden light
Will chase away the winter night.
The tiny sprouts break through the cold,
To turn the barren fields to gold.
The streams run clear, the rivers sing,
A joyful promise that they bring.
Though winter lingered dark and long,
The earth returns with
silky brand.
