The Third Party Listener Poem by Jona PoloRamirez

The Third Party Listener

Conversations warbles across the room
Listen, but not listening
Each to their own, minds and ears at attention,
Meaning? Misunderstood? One understands
Pondering, who and what to say next?

Sounds turned into words
Face in gesture read my mind
Different nooks in conversation
One corner to itself.

Who to listen to, quite confusing
Nothing fully heard but quite interpreted,
Can't have two pairs of ears
With a listener muddled mind concealed.

Disrupted conversation creates
Three way listening processing mind
Corners now in defined thoughts
Meaning may well be understood.
