The Three Tribulations Poem by Singleton M. Tate

The Three Tribulations

Tribulations

Trying to live this life
Rushing toward the dark abyss of strife
In a deep depression that won't break
Beguiled by liars I make more mistakes
Under the pressure of doing wrong not right
Laughing then crying with all of my might
As I look in the mirror I'm so lost
Torpedoed by inferior thoughts
Is this how it's supposed to be
On my own without eyes to see
Never to find the way back home
Send Heaven's Light so I won't be alone

Trib-u-la-tions

The day I was conceived
Ruled my destiny I believe
Insanity whispers my name
Beyond the doors of life's fame
Under the pangs of unhappiness
Listening to temptation's hiss
After the battle the end draws near
Tales of a soul who's cried many tears
Is my vile heart my own worse enemy
On a broken raft no one chooses to see
Now that the waves are closing in... I'll
Sail away with only death as my friend

TRIBULATIONS

Thinking... means a lot
Reckoning... does not
Impossible... to fail if you don't try
Believe... and you will touch the sky
Understanding... is an invaluable key
Lessons... in life will set you free
Achieving... knowledge is a must
Truth... will send those you can trust
Insight... sets you above the rest
Opportunity... is what comes next
Never... give less than your best
Seeking... God first will win every test

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
All will have them... Choose the way to overcome them in Victory!
What doesn't kill you makes your stronger... Be encouraged...
There is Light at the end of that tunnel, you just got to have 'Faith'
Don't give up...
