The Time Tune Poem by Kyle Lowback

The Time Tune

Rating: 5.0

'What is time? ' said he in his crazy way and
All the beings followed him in his little hectic
Dancing way so that symmetry was established
Successfuly and astonishingly

'What does time mean? ' said he in his pathetic
Intonation so that all the beings came across it
As people come across a two-headed person and
The Dance stopped for a second and continued only when
He said laughingly: 'Boy, you are silly even being the Ultimate
Beings of the Universe, aren't you? ' and the dance
Kept on and you could hear trumpets and saxophones
And the basses and the various drums and also some
Trombones and it all sounded beautiful: it was the orchestra
Of the Ultimate Beings and it was profound, and it was superb,
And you couldn't even describe it if you saw and listened to it

'Time was good as depicted by those Pink Floyd,
Wasn't it? But I'm sure it would be better depicted
By Coltrane or Rollins or Miller...' said he in his wondering
Tone to which the beings stared startled as though
He had said some kind of a sinful sound and
The Dance stopped for one more second and then
As though the beings of the Universe had forgotten
What had been said (because it hadn't made any
Sense anyway) the Dance regained its flawless
Composture to the imagined sound of the Jazzy
Time Tune and he was happy, happy, happy

'Guess I'll never learn what time really is' said he
And all the beings started to vanish one by one
Until nothing was left in the room, only the impression
Of something having taken place, only the aura of
Something brilliant and happy and at the same time
Appaling for its mysterious nature and essence and
There was no such thing as 'He' any longer
