The Torment Of Emotional Warfare: A Soul Warning Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

The Torment Of Emotional Warfare: A Soul Warning

In the depths of a soul's weary plight,
Where heartbeats echoed through the night,
A tale of woe began to unfold,
Of a heart that yearned to grow cold.

A spirit torn by a relentless fight,
Twixt love's allure and reason's might,
An attachment that clung too tight,
Yet abandonment cast a haunting blight.

In every bond, a friendship's start,
The heart soared high, a radiant art,
But tendrils of fear crept in unseen,
Doubts and worries, a torrid scene.

Emotions surged, a tumultuous sea,
Love's storms crashed incessantly,
Each connection, a fragile thread,
Torn asunder by thoughts misled.

The weight of longing and despair,
A constant burden too much to bear,
For every joy, a sorrow lingers,
Love's sweet song, its echoes, stingers.

'I wish not to feel, ' the soul did plea,
To shed this cloak of empathy,
To be a shell, devoid of pain,
Free from the heart's relentless strain.

Yet, in this strife, a silent war waged,
Heart and head, in battle engaged,
Each throb, a pang of agony,
The cost of feeling, a relentless spree.

The heart's desires, a fervent flame,
Clashing with reason's sober claim,
A dance of joy and anguished sorrow,
A soul's yearning for a tranquil morrow.

Each heartbeat, a whispered ache,
The yearning for solace, a soul's quake,
A plea to be understood and seen,
To express the pain that lies within.

For those who feel this silent strife,
Caught in the turmoil of emotional life,
Know this ache, this burning sting,
That leaves one yearning for healing.

In the ebb and flow of emotion's tide,
May empathy and understanding reside,
For the soul who longs to find release,
From the heart's turmoil, seeking peace.

Let this tale echo, let it be heard,
A heart's longing, its silent word,
For in shared pain, a connection forms,
A bond amidst emotional storms.
