The Torrent Poem by Ianaldo Prescott Pourchot

The Torrent

One evening the darkness and the daylight had an argument.
Does this night deserve a little rain to ruin the farmer’s crops and animals?

The daylight says NO! For the farmer is poor and is dying of hunger already.
The Darkness chants YES! For the farmer has given his wife no money and is lethargic.

As the voltage in the clouds began flickering the two elements continued bickering.
The farmer looked to the sky and with a sparkle in his eye bawled:

With the lamb by my side—darkness can do whatever it can!
And without a single refutation, the torrent began.

It was really a great poem written well with nice texture and imagery. Quite descriptive yet interesting. You have done a great job. Well done. Keep on writing. I rated it 10. Please read and rate my poem 'Abortion' on page 4. Warmest regards Akmal
