The Touch Of Jesus - Part 3 Poem by Royston Allen

The Touch Of Jesus - Part 3

Touching my hand as I lay on the bed
'She is not dead but asleep', Jesus said
They just laughed at Him but I did not care
For life returned to me as I lay there

The touch of Jesus makes me feel so whole
The touch of Jesus purifies my soul
The touch of Jesus cleanses me from sin
The touch of Jesus gives me peace within

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Matthew 9: 23-26
When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, he said, 'Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.' But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. News of this spread through all that region.
