The Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet Poem by Adam Pergande

The Tragedy Of Romeo And Juliet

The story of Romeo and Juliet
Is an interesting tale you wont forget.
So let me tell you right away
How such much hope turned to dismay

It all began when Romeo
Came to the Capulet disco.
Dancing round the party floor.
He gazed upon Juliet in awe.

The lovers met, and then they kissed
But Juliet’s cousin Tybalt Hissed
“If I see him again” He fussed
“ I’ll have his eyeballs for breakfast”

And so in secret, the love-birds married
Swapped their rings then away were carried
Up the stairs, minding her head.
And ran a muck in Juliet’s bed.

But Juliet’s family wouldn’t approve
Of their daughter and a Montague, getting their groove.
And to bad luck, while their minds were wurly.
Lord Capulet had arrived back early

Romeo grabbed his pants and ran.
Sliding down the pipe to scram.
“You’ll marry Paris” said her dad.
“No I wont! ” she screamed so mad.

But Tybalt found Romeo in town.
“ You’ll pay for snogging my cousin” he frowned
They bravely fought but Tybalt lost
But Romeo’s banishment was the cost.

So Juliet met the Loyal Bishop
To drink a potion with a tiny Hiccup
A magic drink to fake her death.
So realistic! Not even breath.

Juliet was found in early morning
And later on a funeral mourning
But a stupid servant passed it on
To Romeo, and got it all wrong.

When Romeo saw his darling wife.
He drank some poison and took his life.
Juliet woke from her sleeping state.
And saw her tragic husbands fate.

Without her Romeo, wouldn’t suffice.
So Juliet made her sacrifice.
Pulled the knife into her breast
And lay dead on her husbands chest.

The lovers families who didn’t agree
Until this day, they could finally see
Their children who just craved for love.
Now rest in peace way up above.
