The Trail We Blaze Poem by Martin Greyford

The Trail We Blaze

Rating: 5.0

We were young when we first met
And now we're grown up people and we're
Still enjoying the warmth of the sun together.
We quarrel, we fight but
We have not stopped loving each other
Because of the trail we blaze.

We are like tourists in the forest
Looking for a way where there
Seems to be no way,
In a bush covered with thick
Shrubbery trees and grass and tall trees
But they still look for a way in.

At times life becomes hard
With no hope at all for tomorrow
But we still know we'll reach there
Because of the trail we blaze.
We understand each other better.
We love each other better than anyone.

It's not that we want to
But because we feel the need
To be together through out
Like mountain campers who stick together
When they go hiking.
We together blaze the trail of love.
