The Treasure None Can Stole! Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

The Treasure None Can Stole!

Rating: 2.5

As I move to sight
The greenery of Mother Earth
Behind the bald-headed mountains
Stood before me stunning
With no green in sight.

As I stepped down
The terrains of altitudes
With no flora and fauna in sight
I heard a feeble trump
That I sensed of a Pachyderm.

I peeped with my eyes and ears fixed
At the trump from an infinity
And I stood amazing before a stream
That hold a bamboo-raft
In wait of a hunter or guest.

I crossed the stream
With none to ferry the raft
To the other banks of the rivulet
Dressed in grasslands and valleys
That gave an impetus to me.

I sighted the thick forest
That blessed with rich flora
Where the summer shower
Started with chill and shrill
That added much to my joy.

As I waded the green thickness
I was amazed to see the herd of elephants
Enjoying the shower and bathe with trump
Excelled out of joy and ecstasy.
That filled my senses with color
And music of mother Earth!

I spotted the galaxy of fauna
That carry leopards, sloth bears,
The samba rs, spotted lovable deers
The barking deers and wild dogs
Listening to the melody of horn bills
And the green pigeons at tree tops.

I turned to the hissing
Of the king cobra aiming a prey
I saw the pythons
Climbing the tree-branches
To look like a fatty vine
And to fall on a prey coming.

I moved to the trekking path
With folded hands in prayer
To the Mother Earth
And to the bald mountain ranges
That shelter this flora and fauna
From the beast-eyes of a hunter!
