The Truth Poem by Arik Carpenter

The Truth

Rating: 5.0

You will find
In your life
And amongst mankind
That all is strife
And in this world
That truth is a knife.

All is pain
This is true
And you must train
And live through
This life so full of rain.

In this world
All is dark
The light lay furled
And pain sings as a lark.

Your light beside you
In the form of a friend
Those you love
Can’t stop your end.

The only way
To live on
To not decay
And see the dawn
And see the day.

Keep your friends
In your life
And see how it bends
See how your world
And how they blend
And lay the light unfurled
For your happy end.
