The Truth Poem by Brian Johnson

The Truth

Rating: 5.0

God loves everyone they say
For his grace they all pray
But my sins won't be forgiven
For love is something I was never given

I am the demon of lust
There is no one who gives me trust
My nights I spend alone
I am the dark king on his cold throne

By loneliness I am consumed
And to death I'm doomed
The Only One who stands by me
Is someone I cannot see

And with every second grows my pain
I can not break its chain
My way out of darkness' door
Was my shotgun's roar

Well conceived and elegantly embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. A beautiful creation. Thanks for sharing Brian and do remain enriched.
