The Truth Poem by Ali Atiku

The Truth

The world is losing sight of light.
Now kindness is madness.
Love is selfish.
Caring for others is carelessness.
We ought to fight for humanity or lose unity.
Some argue that there is no essence to excellence in trying because perfection doesn't exist.
You have never been in anybody's shoes to choose. You refuse in haste to taste anybody's food.
You eat alone just to end up stuck up face down lonely.
Solitude is a company but not an actual companion. You find true happiness in caring for others.
I am not asking you to understand.
I need you to help regardless.
You relax when others feel less.
You deserve more?
When others want a part of less.
Let's be thoughtful and be helpful to help others relate and move up.
You are not superhuman, I know.
You can help with little, little is more than enough, sometimes enough is not enough.
You don't do it to gain but take away others pain,
it's right deep down, you know I spoke the truth.
