The Truth Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

The Truth

Behold the truth, a shining light,
Guiding us through darkness of night,
In a world of lies and deceit
His words, pure and holy, we must repeat,
Jesus, the way, the truth and the life.

Amidst the chaos, He ends the strife,
With every step, He leads the way,
His love and grace, our hearts obey,
From the humble town of Bethlehem
To the cross of Calvary, He condemns,
But in His death, salvation we find.

For our sins, He was truly kind,
His teachings, like pearls of wisdom,
For every soul, a precious prism;
The truth, never faltering, never broke
The Pharisees, they questioned His ways,
But Jesus, He never strayed;
From the path of righteousness and love.

Pointing to the Father above,
He walked on water, calmed the storm,
His love, a fire that would never dorm,
He healed the sick, cured the blind,
For all humanity, His heart inclined.

His love knew no bounds or limit,
To every soul, He was committed,
Though rejected and put to death,
He rose again, with life and breath,
For in Him, the truth was fully revealed.

Through His sacrifice, our souls were healed
Jesus, the way, the truth and the life,
In Him, we find freedom from all strife,
So let us follow in His footsteps,
With hearts full of faith, not regrets,
For He is the truth, our guiding light.

Jesus, the way, the truth and the life,
Oh blessed truth, the light that guides my way,
In him, our soul has found its steady source,
And in his love, our heart has found its peace,
You are the way, the path that we must tread.

For you are not just truth, but life as well,
In you, our soul has found eternal rest
Your sacrifice has saved our soul from hell
And in your grace, we forever blessed
Jesus, my savior, my rock, my guide
In you, all truth and life doth truly reside.
