The Truth About The World Poem by Anupriya Palni

The Truth About The World

Rating: 4.0

Man drained the pool of truth,
And drowned the world in the seas of corruption.
Controlled by the rapacious devil,
Lured by the louche temptress- Fortune,
Consequently, the celestial bodies are out of tune.

No space for humility and affection-
Only melancholia and lust for these charlatans.
Advocate truth, do you? Better Beware-
For irksome is to humans truth,
Like Holy water to that Lucifer named youth.

Here Evil stays young while
Goodwill is bound to perish today or tomorrow.
You'll find no sympathy here;
Only scowls and ugly glares;
Or at the most blind, empty stares.

Very well written and thought about. Revealing the truth of mankind in today's world. But, needs improvement in rhyming scheme and words as it makes the poem very energetic and kid friendly.9++
