The Truth Hurt Poem by Rakim Cheatam

The Truth Hurt

Rating: 5.0

They say I'm born to be a leader but I'm following dumb decisions
I don't know if it's my ego or is God giving me these visions
I don't know right from wrong nobody sees my struggles
But don't try an judge me my the roots of my troubles
Do you accept me for my flaws or hate me for my passion?
Is my mistakes of being a man causing this train reaction
If the world changes would you stay the same?
I'd hate to see you cry because I might feel yo pain
I hurt too sometimes I just don't show feelings
Because the wounds I got from love are showing no signs of healing
I'm bleeding inside from all the tears I've cried
But at least I'm man enough to stand up to it with all of my pride
To me betrayal is more likely to be found than trust
I'm down to my last straw and it seems I'm out of luck..
Love Rakim
