The Truth In Grit Poem by Stephenie VanCampJones

The Truth In Grit

Rating: 5.0

Some don't know any better,
some just choose the long road
despite its hardship.
Gravel has a certain appeal
that diamonds never could.
There's an honesty and truth
to its raw form.
No flashy, false exteriors-
just honesty and truth in grit.

That just sums up how I'm feeling :) I'd rather have grit than diamonds any day of the week.

I like this piece. Short, simple, yet says so much.
