The Truth - The Rules Poem by Valerie Chase

The Truth - The Rules

Tell me what I'm hiding from you.
Because I think I'd like to know.
That's the problem with you these days -
Assumption under your belt -
You think you've got it all explained.

I'll tell you one thing.
I'm at the end of my rope.
That constent burning fury
Is just dying down slow.

Stop telling me what to think -
Don't underestimate my ability to leave.
I can do anything just as well you -
I can leave all the luxuries behind.

Watch your appearance disappear
In the rear view mirror -
While in my mind,
I float away, float away.
