The Turtle's Sonnet Poem by Dr. Mahmud Firdaus

The Turtle's Sonnet

Shall I compare you to the winter,
Thou are cooler than the month of December,
Weather gets colder, but my ice gets warmer.
melting and melting till it becomes water.

The lights are grey, the end is not clear,
We can stay or we can move further,
Does it matter? I always wonder.
One thing for sure, my feelings will never flutter.
Slipping with shoes, the pit gets deeper,
The more I know you, I fell more deeper.

The rabbits holding the turtles hand,
walking while racing,
For money, people work like ants, trying to grab the skies and the lands.
We care for our friends, we savour helping.
Ensuring other's smiles are filled, that's just our thing.
Walls are visible, the one I don't want to go for,
She's just that special, the prettiest creature I ever fell for.

The bale utter he looked paltry bit,
He then delivers she's worth it, worth a thousand miles,
She makes me smile,
She makes me cry,
Above all, she makes me feel alive.

Round 1 over, round 2 starts,
It doesn't matter, how many runs or darts,
As long as I'm with her, the path will never go down.
No matter where we are, we are standing on common ground.
Both our feet and our minds surround.
Needles and sticks on the ground, any obstacles we can find.
Lets go together, never leave me behind.

It reminds ne of shakespear, s sonnet in its beginning lines but u applied it an interesting way si the poem is still original and great. I have an unposted poem that begins in the same shakespearean way. Keep writing since u do a superb job of it. Pls read my poems too but comment only on the latest.
