The Two Of Us Poem by Ireece Mae Montero

The Two Of Us

Two years and up in the making
Still holding and loving
Every step we make
Dozen consequences we take
Struggling ourselves just to prove to them
That the love we built doesn’t cost even a gem
We may fight a lot of times
But the love of us still reminds
We utter words like we meant or not
Yet hurtful but trying to shaken us up
More tears we shed along the way
A smile in are faces at the end of the day
Others may think we’re just playing around
But our love is more than just a playground
For all its worth to reach this phase
We still found each other at the end of the maze
Many trials we passed and still pass
For as long as there’s The two of us
