The Two Of Us Poem by jennifer killian

The Two Of Us

Rating: 5.0

I feel you, you know, though we never touch
I feel much pain from you
I want to take your pain
And go to the beach together, late at night, just this once

We will put your pain in a dark, heavy, black box
With swirling demons, screeching and howling
Then we will lock the box with a very heavy, strong, lock

We can then take my pain and put it in a small, white box
With strong twine and twist and twist the twine
Around the box so that nothing can escape

Let us both then take our boxes and together lift them
High into the heavens, far from earth, far from the universe,
Out and out to the edges of time
And watch them explode
Into a zillion sparks of light

And we will laugh at how the pain is gone
And laugh and laugh
Forever and ever and ever

You are very good in telling love-strucked events in poetry Jennifer. You are able to awaken the sentiments of a woman who loves despite all odds.Great write. Regards
